Why Brightstone?

At Brightstone Transitions, we believe that young adults with Autism can live thoughtful and independent lives. The path to independence looks different for everyone, and at Brightstone we support each of our young adults in that process. Our staff team collaborates with clients to establish goals that are as unique as each of their needs and paced to support them through the process.

Each of our young adults has experienced their own journey prior to Brightstone. For some, the social and academic pressures of a traditional four-year university proved too much, for others they have discovered barriers in the home setting, and for some Brightstone provides continued support from framework of other therapeutic programs. Regardless of the circumstances that may bring our young adults to Brightstone, our staff meet each client where they are at and treat them with dignity and respect throughout their time working with us.

Our young adults take an active and collaborative role in their progress and are supported by our trained team. Brightstone staff provide a coaching and mentoring model that supports clients in the moment through feedback and hands on support. Our motto, Independence Through Application summarizes our vision that young adults need real life experiences and sustainable rationales that model true independence. At Brightstone we remove artificial structure and instead provide coaching opportunities in daily living tasks, job or educational experiences, and social skills.
